HELLO MY FRIENDS!!!! what a week. babies, rings, babies, rings, more babies, and more rings. I thank the Lord for taking my rings and babies from me for a bit. there's no where else I'd rather be!!! da da da da da da da in the way you love me............. oh oh oh the way you love me....... that's awkward when a Shania twain song comes in my head as I am writing a spiritual letter. oops.
honestly, what an incredible week. this week CHANGED my mission!! (every week does but some weeks are eternally life changing) first of all, our best friend Ashley was baptized!!! I forgot to tell you that for the past 3 weeks as shes been preparing for her baptism shes been super sick and has had an ear ache and nothing seemed to help it. she had faith that once she was baptized it would go away. (completee faith, I didn't doubt her!!) after her baptism, she said "I can hear a little better but not completely... " THEN.. the next day she went to Vancouver to go to the temple to do baptisms. (literally the next day) she calls us.. and she says "SISTERS.... I CAN HEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" if that isn't an example of faith then I don't know what is. these are the people I hang around all day every day. completely faith building. im so grateful for god for answering prayers!!!!! thank you momma for praying for our singing! we ended up having her cousin sing with us and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. everyone loved it. all her non member family and friends were there and there wasn't a single dry eye :) her 7 year old daughter got up and said "i like that my mom is here. i want you all to love her. i love her. im so happy for my mom." i spoke about the Holy Ghost right after... imagine my eyes when i got up there. yup. the holy ghost was there... how ironic!!!
Zone meeting was this week and a couple of the assistants came up to join us!! sister Ritchie and I gave a training on "companionship inventory's" HECK YES TO MORAL AUTHORITY! we have the strongest relationship. its been life changing for me. we are constantly giving each other compliments, strengthening each other with our goals and making sure we're accomplishing them, and loving the heck out of each other. and that's why we've seen success. it takes two to tango. and I know that's an eternal principle. all the elders and sisters were participating and we've made sure to follow up with them daily to make sure it doesn't change them for a day.. but changes them FOREVER! it all goes back to Jesus, he had companion inventory's with his apostles ALL THE TIME. not once did he have hard feelings for them. and never should we. in Matthew 14 Jesus immediately brings his companion (peter) up and helps him increase his faith. that is how all relationships should be. bringing each other out of the water IMMEDIATELY! never forget, that Jesus is our example IN EVERY WAY.
we got a call late one evening from President Burt. he called us to a higher responsibility and said if he knows any two that could do it, it'd be us! WE ARE NOW YSA AND FAMILY WARD UP HERE!! we are the only sisters up here as well. the other sisters are a couple hours away so we exchange with them every so often. we are so excited for this opportunity to do more. its already been a heck of a lot more stressful but it has put us to work at EVERY SECOND. we couldn't be happier. we've been meeting a lot of YSA so it works out perfectly.
yesterday at church our relief society watched a Mormon clip about Sister Missionaries, and the first one to ever be one. it was the NEATEST thing. it was almost like genealogy and I thought you'd be proud of me mom. THANK YOU Elizebeth Mcuun for being such a bold woman and changing my life!!!!!!!!!
9 months gone away...... I can't even express the way I feel. I've grown in ways I honestly couldn't imagine. I reflected one evening as I was praying and recording my feelings that heavenly father was putting in my heart. I am truly so grateful to be a missionary. its brought me happiness i didn't even know existed. its made me figure out who i am through the Lord. i know the Lord and i know he knows me. that is what changed my life!
