specific prayers, bring specific blessings!

baby- it is pretty cold outside now. are ya'll happy now?!  you've been waiting for me to freeze all summer!!!!!! but let me tell you, its still gorgeous AS EVER. you all make me so happy. I love hearing from you. and hey, that family pic was too cute. its not suppose to be that cute, you're missing the cutest one in the family!!!!! i'll forgive ya.

we had the most amazing week. literally- they just get better. every day I say its the best day of my mission because the miracles are OUT OF THIS WORLD!! we've been seeing our Ina girl, who Is our miracle we've been praying for. remember how we've been praying to be let in at the door and that person will be prepared and ready for baptism this week? she is progressing, and she is progressing RAPIDLY!

in case you forgot: we met her 3 weeks ago. she let us in, and we saw her that same day with Bishop Carter, and she has been interested ever since. she came to church this week and was in tears the whole time! it was the primary program and that's something I always look forward too! this one was extra special. there seemed to be an extra spirit in the room- it was miraculous. I played I am a child of god on the violin with the kids and I looked over at Ina just bawling.... I wish you could have all seen it.

after church we had dinner at the Sala's house with Ina. (the family that's so cute that sings all the time) at the dinner table I felt prompted to tell Ina the miracle she was to us... and she looks at us, tearful, and says "can I tell you the flip side to my story?" apparently, that day had been pretty hard for her. she's been out of work for awhile now, and its so hard for her. she was listening to the song "Lead me" (not a church song) but a powerful song that is about God just leading us. she said it was her prayer as she was singing, that he would lead her. at this point we got the song going and she was singing it for us just bawling.... and holding my hand. only 2 hours after she was singing that song, we knocked on her door and she KNEW. she knew, that god was sending us to her. after she told the story, she said, I wasn't expecting him to tell me to be a Mormon! hahah oh Ina dear, we are a part of the Lords church, of course he wants you here! she wants us to sing that song at her baptism on the 30th!! :)

family, what a miracle. can you even believe that? God answers prays, and he wants us to have success. I know that to be true.

I have been reading all about Lamen and Lemuel recently, come to find out they are great examples of how to live our lives  and our missions! of course they made it across the sea and built the ship, all that they were asked to do. but were they like Nephi? who did it, SO happily, SO obediently, and full of FAITH? I want to be like Nephi. I want to be happy in doing the Lords work, and doing all that I am asked to do. after all- the choice is up to US!

what an amazing week. Gods hand was in everything we did. we couldn't have had 15 lessons, and 4 people come to church without His help. we can pray, for anything. specific prayers, bring specific blessings. I LOVE THIS WORK!  I love who I am doing it for. my savior, Jesus Christ, is my light. and my whole world. you all shine bright, just like momma's shirt says. that's a gem. you're all gems. I just love you. keep doing YOUR best! muah!!!
