HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING ERRYBODY!!!
what an incredible week- as always!!! i am so grateful for this gospel of "becoming" All that matters to me, is becoming who my heavenly father has created me to be. we arent going to be perfect in a blink of an eye, but we can become perfect through jesus christ. i know that to be true, and how grateful i am to have such an amazing older brother and father who love me. and walk with me every single day!
we went on exchanges this week, i was with sister johnson! she knows kim!! they went to BYU together.. what a small world!!! she is an awesome sister. i learned so much from her, how vital it is to testify of Jesus Christ. he is the center of this gospel, so we better well love him enough to bring people to him! our studies together were awesome. i studied the talk "Your Four Minutes" by bishop Stevenson i think? ah, you all need to read it! he relates our life to our Four Minutes. "it is not too late to repent, but it soon may be, because no one really knows when your four minutes will be over" our four minutes is ticking... what are we going to do to ensure our next medal? my mission is probably 20 seconds of that four minutes.. and its going to be over before i know it. but with the savior by our side, and if we seek for his help, and follow his direction, how can we fail? don't let a second pass! lets get to work! DOING OUR BEST!
FUNNY MOMENT: it was the end of the month.. you know what that means.. we are poor. we had no toliet paper all week!! every where we went we took there napkins!! hahaha we were at an older members home, my favorite lady sister evans, and sister van went to the washroom before we left. then we get in the car and she goes "SISTER... look :) she pulls out some toliet paper...." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH she took some toliet paper. i literally peed my pants.
Bishop Stevensen from that talk also said, "can you imagine the impact if family and friends included things they are learning from their personal study of Preach My Gospel in their letters and emails to their full- time missionaries? Can you picture the blessings that will come to families when they know and understand better what their sons and daughters will be studying and teaching on their missions? Can you even begin to fathom the extra ordinary out pouring of atoning grace that will be ours, indivitually, and collectively, according to the Saviors promise to all who bear testimony in the process of inviting souls to come unto Him- and the following up on those invitations?" Family, friends, lets listen to this counsel, let us all study Preach My gospel, and share our experiences. i know the blessings will be more than we can bear. and we will all grow closer together in this process. "Ye, are blessed" the Lord said throught joseph Smith. we will be blessed, i know that! i LOVE preach my gospel. it has helped me in my missionary work every day. it will direct how you talk to people, christ like traits we should all try to have, and how important our purpose is. all of us, members AND missionaries! i am looking forward to the emails and letters to come :)
oh, i almost forgot!!! lol.. transfer week!! Sister Van is leaving me :( she has taught me so much, i couldnt have been blessed with such an amazing trainer. i was so blessed by her example, that my trainee is going to need my example! trainee to trainer in a matter of weeks! i prayed my heavenly father would just put me somewhere or give me something that will make me grow, and this is my answer. I couldn't be more excited. i will get her thursday!! :)
i am humbled to be on my mission, i am brought to my knees each and every night with a full heart of gratitude. i know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, is the Lords church. and he is walking with us, every day. keep doing your best and follow the spirit in all that you do, just as He said "ye are blessed" and we owe everything to Him. muah muah!
