WHAT AN EVENTFUL WEEK! PULL UP YOUR SOCKS CAUSE YOURE IN FOR A RIDE!!!! first off, i went on exchanges in Victoria with the Sister Trainer Leaders!! it was SO FUN! i think i belong in a big city :) i talked to so many wonderful people down town and invited one man to be baptized!!! he was so lost, an alcoholic, full of sorrow i could feel it... but he looked at me and said "im an alcoholic and i want to be clean" i told him how he can become clean through Jesus Christ.. he looked at me and said "i can?" i told him all about Gods plan for him, and how he wants him so badly to return to him, to be clean, and to follow him! basically, i got him all set up in the alcoholic program here, and he was so pumped! sadly, thats not my area... but it was such a neat experience! then from there, Heavenly Father wanted to test my faith because i was so happy... i went up to a lady and told her i was a missionary!! she looked at me and said ARE YOU A JEW? i said no! i am from the church of jesus christ of latt..... she cut me off and said "GET AWAY YOU EVIL WEIRDO!!!!!!!!!!" and she literally ran away from me. hahaha heavenly father, you are so hilarious. thank you for placing her in my life that day. but please calm her poor soul. i don't know if i was laughing so hard that i wanted to cry, or maybe i just needed to cry for a second after that. beside the point, exchanges in Victoria was SO fun!!!
from exchanges, we went to the Womans Broadcast. I don't know if this time since i didn't have a phone, or a mom to annoy, or a sister to tickle my back, but it was the most powerful broadcast. i felt Gods love for every woman that was in there. President Uchtdorf spoke,you know how much i love him!! he showed a picture of rain just pouring down... and said God is pouring his blessings upon you. and then showed all the umbrellas blocking the rain. it put it so well into perspective for me. are we counting our blessings? and realizing all God does for us? and how WILLING he is to pour his blessings upon us!!! i loved that broad cast. i love feeling Gods love in abundance with others that strive to feel it too :)
we were on the reserves on thursday and i had the strongest feeling to knock on this door because i saw cute bikes for kids :) :) so we knocked and a cute little lady answeres the door. she looked like shes like 16 but she had 5 kids!!!!! so we talked to her and set another app. and guess what fam!?!? SHE HAS A BAPTIZIMAL DATE FOR OCTOBER 25! we taught her about the Plan of Salvation, and how how much God loves us! she was all about it! as we left she kept saying.. "october 25 right?!?!?!" her name is Alexis. she is first nations! like every one else here in Sidney :)
IF YOURE GETTING LAZY.. JUST KEEP READING. ESPECIALLY THIS PARAGRAPH OK?!?!?!? last week before the Corn Roast we were going around to every house by the church telling them to come eat!! we knocked into the CUTEST lady. and she has the CUTEST little boy!!! (i was all over that) she came to the corn roast and was so sweet and wanted to meet again! so we set an app.. but it fell through. so yesterday we just stopped by! she let us in and was showing us all her sons birthday decorations. i couldn't get over her house it was so cute, and her pictures were SO cute. shes from california, so she had the sweetest beach pics. there were so many pictures of her and this other lady.. and i was like awe is this your cute sister?! and she goes.......... "no thats my partner!! :)" ................ lets all just ponder what just happened for a second. ....................wait,.......... wait, wait, ...........is this real life? FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT DO I EVEN SAY TO THAT RIGHT?!?!? i was like oh okay! how cute!! and i continued onward. missinary work..... it's SO fun. but the people make it for sure eh :D
MIRACLE! last week we talked to this sweet YSA girl on the street and said a quick prayer with her.. she had to get going to her brothers birthday but she was willing to listen and just talk! then on saturnday night, we get a call from this boy named Jeff, an RM, and hes like did you guys happen to meet a jasmine last week and say a prayer with her? and i was like yes yes we did!!!! apparently, she got a job where he works and he began talking about church (RM's.. theyre so great) and she said she met the nicest girls the other day and they said the most incredible prayer! what a blessing eh!!! we will probably send her to YSA, but its such a testimony that the spirit works with those we talk to, even if we don't see much out of the conversation!!
i wanted to study more about joseph smith this week. so i just read his history right? i read about his mom, whos maiden name was mack... MACK? HOW CUTE IS THAT NAME? definetely naming my son Mack. Mack and Miles.. cute cousins!!!!!! AWE! but thats not even all. here in Sidney there is a street called Naomi, totally my girls name. THEN in Victoria, there was a street called Evie Henry, and Isabell!!!!!!!!! LIKE OK! heavenly father is trying to tell me something. i think hes saying "sis ovard your children, Mack, Isabell, Naomi, and Evie are watching you WORK HARD!" maybe hes not saying that.. but i think so. so it looks like i'll have a lot of girls. dang, my family is so cute. all because of Joseph Smiths mom.. i had revelation for my kids this week. LOL!
literally can't tell you how grateful i am to be here. i love these canadian people and i LOVE my savior. my relationship with him is the most important thing to me. and i will never do anything to prevent me to keep strengthening that. just like President Holland, when he comes again, "I so want to be caught living the gospel. I want to be surprised right in the act of spreading the faith and doing something good. I want the savior to say to me, "Aynsley, i recognize you not by your title but by your life, the way you are trying to live and the standards you are trying to defend. I see the integrity of you heart. I know you have tried to make things better first and foremost by being better yourself and then by declaring my word and defending my gospel to others in the most compassionate way you could." that is my hope, my dream, my goal, and that is my hope for all of you. JUST DO YOUR BEST. go to your Savior, every day. He will bless you. Put your umbrellas down! i love you all more than i could ever say!!! HAVE A GOOD WEEK AND I'LL TRY TO STAY OUTTA TROUBLE HERE TOO ;) muah!!!!
