who is HE to you?

oh family, it's only getting better and FASTER! where has the time gone? missionary life IS the life! are ya'll on board? I'm so excited to tell you about my week!!

 

first off- sweet Amanda got her wedding dress this week! I DIDN'T KNOW I CAME ON A MISSION TO PLAN WEDDINGS!! ITS HAUNTING ME! (the day will come, I KNOW dad) we are sort of helping her plan (through the ward) so it's so exciting. she got her dress, and you bet we ran as FAST as we could to her house to help her try it on! she is doing SO well. she has had all the lessons now so we are just following up on reading and going over some things with her. she gets married the 6, and baptized the 12!! I am so happy. Gods grace in changing people is absolutely incredible. and the atonement IS real. it's hard for me to even grasp how real it is.

 

Robert.. (if you want to picture him in your head picture uncle Tom) he is the BEST! we went over Saturday night. and he had 2 big white boards ready for us with questions and things he didn't believe in that we did :D  so to start that lesson off, we explained to him... we want to teach you  our message. and we would love for you to just listen, save your questions and thoughts, and be open to the spirit. and he agreed! we taught him the plan of salvation. the spirit testified to me the whole time of how REAL it is. we lived with Heavenly Father before, he taught us HIS gospel, and we said we would have faith in him! Robert has a hard time believing in pre earth life. if he doesn't start progressing with commitments and such we have to drop him. BUT the lord can do anything! and I have faith that he will change as he reads the book of Mormon.

FUNNY MOMENT: we were out finding knocking and we hear "NO ONES HOME!" hahaha oh! okay, we'll stop by another time when you are!! hahaaha

 

I had an interview with President Burt this week. oooohhh.. I love him. he said hes adopting me so sorry mom and dad! :) he is the best example of doing your best. ITS THAT SIMPLE! do your best, be happy, smile, and share EVERYTHING you have :) that is, the true church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints! I scored with my mission parents. another testimony- GOD KNOWS US!

 

family + friends + everyone, I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is SO real. he is with us. he is walking in our foot steps. he is cheering for us. He trusts US to share his gospel. don't you think he could do it himself? but instead, he LETS us. he TRUSTS us that much! it's almost overwhelming eh? you all know my favorite story about Peter walking on water. it took so much faith in him to jump out of that boat and walk to Jesus, right? while others sat on the boat and watched. what are you doing? are you sitting on the boat watching the Lords work hasten? or are you JUMPING out of the boat with full faith in Jesus Christ that you can walk on water, you can teach your brothers and sisters, YOU CAN SEE JESUS CHRIST! my testimony has grown so much in Him. I feel him every day. I want you to know that. so with that, I have a challenge. and you're going to do it! because if little sister ovard can, YOU CAN! trust in God, he will provide through your obedience to commandments. be sensitive to the quiet promptings of the spirit, and act on them! have patience and understanding when God lets you struggle. thank heavens, he is letting you struggle so you can become something even better!!! SHARE THE GOSPEL. go out with the missionaries, let them know you're willing to have their investigators over! DO SOMETHING. the Lord needs us all. the WORLD needs us all!

 

who is Jesus Christ to you? are you just praying to him? if so, I want you to make him REAL! picture Him in every step you take. imagine him in front of you as you pray, listening. OPEN YOUR EYES if you have to, to imagine him!!!!!!!! I PROMISE you, that when he becomes real to you, when you rely on Him with all that you have, you feel him. and you know exactly who you are and who you are becoming.

 

I love my mission, I love the people here, I love this work. it is hard. but the hardest things, are the best for us. I love you all so much! keep being you, keep sharing the gospel! you have NO idea the light you bring to others! I see it in you. the Lord is waiting for you to JUMP to him! until next week...
