my heart is full

HELLO! I AM FEELING SO GRATEFUL!

I am so excited to tell you about my girls camp experience!!! for the 9th year in my life!!!!!!!! whooooo!!! but let me tell you, this one was the best :) we got up Friday morning, after having 7 sisters stay with us.. SISTER ROGERS was one!!! cutest girl ever. tell them i was with her! it took about an hour and a half to get there. we arrived, had lunch, (imagine the beauty during all of this) and then met our girls! Sister Van and I had all beehives and maybe 2 miamaids. haha they were so funny. we left the beginning of our little chat up for questions. about anything they wanted! missionary life, high school, boys, home, just ANYTHING! and i have to tell you the best question we got.. this really serious (red head) goes "so what if.. its like.. your time of the month.. and you need supplys... and its not monday so you cant go get them?" HAHAHAHAHAH yep. cried of laughter. sistas sistas.. we are normal people!!!! an amazing question that got the spirit going was a sister asked me my favorite part of Personal Progress.. I said Indivitual worth. and i bore testimony of how beautiful we are, how important we are, how we are all so different, and it's so important we STAY different. God made us that way because people need who we are. the real message we shared with them is how NOW really is the time to come unto christ. 3 nephi 11:13-14 talks about going forth one by one touching his hands and his feet. NOW really is the time to feel his hands and his feet. NOW is the time to leave back all past transgressions, doubts, bad infulences, behind. NOW is the time you give the Lord your weaknesses, your doubts, your sins, your EVERYTHING. NOW is the best time to come unto christ as he hastens HIS work. it was more detailed, and the spirit was as strong as ever in the beautiful woods of Sooke, Canada. I'll never forget that experience!!

Then from girls camp we went on exchanges with the sister trainer leaders! BUT.. one of the sister trainer leaders was done with her mission last week so sister bramford (a sister from my zone in the MTC) got put with the STL for a couple weeks before transfers. SO GUESS WHAT? IT WAS SISTER BRAMFORD AND I TOGETHER FOR A DAY.. TWO GREENIES ON THE ISLAND OF SIDNEY LIVING IT UP WITH OUR GREENIE SPUNK!!! oh. you dont think greenies are awesome? well we found 2 new investigators that day. AND handed out a Book of Mormon to a man on the street. it was SOO fun learning from each other. our happiness and love for the gospel just spread throughout the streets here. we may be clueless, but hey, we are happy :D

oh my word i forgot to tell you! Sister Van's grandma died on Tuesday. it was heart breaking. but that didn't stop her!! we went out and worked our tales off. and testified to EVERYONE about the Plan of Salvation because literally EVERYONE we met that day had just lost their spouse. crazy eh? the Lord gives us things to testify of so that we can bring our brothers and sisters closer to him, and closer to us as one big happy family! how blessed are we to know of His plan for each of us!!

FUNNY MOMENT: it was a hard day. and we needed a laugh. thank heavens for a door with those funny mirrors that make your face dimented... i couldnt stop laughing. I COULDNT STOP!!! even when they opened the door!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS LIKE YOUR DOOR IS MAKING ME LOOK SO FUNNY!!! they didn't think it was funny. but we did. lol

I am so grateful for what i have. i am so grateful for the eternal knowledge i have of the gospel. im so grateful for my relationship with my Heavenly Father and his Son. I am so grateful each night as i follow up with my Heavenly Father and i ask him "how did i do today father?" and i feel the most peace i can ever feel each day. as we devote our time, our efforts, and all we have to him, he gives us peace. he comforts us. and we feel his love more abundantly each day. i wouldn't want to be anywhere else. i love you all, i pray for you all. i miss you all! i truly am so grateful for each of you. you are the light in my life that God knew i would need. all i have to do is think about you for 5 seconds and know that everything is ok :) may god bless you this week!!!

xoxo, sis ovard
