no really, fam. this week was fantastic!!!!!!! lets start with my goodbye from PG--- you saw that video eh... i think it marked the third time i've cried on my mission. so many strings tied there that i will NEVER forget. that place, i look back to it every day. (not that im living in the past, but so many defining moments of my testimony) i was so sad to leave, sad to leave my friendships, erica and livs baptism, sister ritchie, ect. but the thing about God, is he is with us everyday. the unknown times of the future are actually the most defining of our faith. so, i didn't let my faith weaken but i came here so happy! and ready to change even more.
lets start here: SISTER MILLER! she is from bountiful, right by good ol President Burt. shes been out 8 months, and COOKS. did you hear me? COOKS. healthy. did you hear me? COOKS HEALTHY FOOD. what an angel!!!!!!! i have to stop myself from calling her mom. she has so many talents i love and admire. she learned how to read palms in college and so i had her do it to me and it was SO COOL. i wrote about it in my journal, so i'll share that sometime with you at home! promise this isn't why i only love her ;) she is such a great missionary and gal. we will for sure be friends forever! before i got with her, president told me she had admired me and all i've seen on my mission so he told me to get her out of her comfort zone and help her see it too.. you have no idea how much i've loved this experience. its been the BEST couple of days. yesterday, we had a stroll in the park because thats where everyone was.. i dared sister miller to go sit by this sikh man on the bench.. she looked at me and said "im so scared but i'll do it sister ovard!!!" so she went... and i was so proud. and as she did that i had GREAT CONVERSATIONS with everyone else around me! TALKING TO PEOPLE LITERALLY GIVES ME AN ADRENALIN RUSH AND I LOVE IT. fear & doubt are opposed of faith... GOTTA DO SOMETHING SCARY EVERY DAY!!!
lets get to the good stuff. the people here are AWESOME. im still in canada, so nothing changes. its definetely not "mini india" there are a lot of them, but its pretty normal :) its GORGEOUS!!! and hot. so i am having a good ol time bakin in the heat!!! yesterday, a man ran up to me and said "look, i need help. a girl im dating is having a rough time what should i do??" hahaaaha.. oh, thank you for noticing my name badge that skips over jesus christ and says THERAPIST! i told him to write her a card and tell her hes praying for her.. bc gods more powerful than he is! he had a good ol chuckle and said he would do it! im outta love practice over here, sooo thats all i got. LOL!
we are teaching Nick and Kane! the coolest boys EVVER!!!!!! we set a date with them for the 19 and 26! it was so neat because the both of them in both lessons said how it was either an answer to their prayer, or the most powerful lessons they've ever had. UNITY-- i have such a testimony of it in a companionship. that was my #1 goal is to just help her be open with me and i can do the same. that is where alllllll miracles come from!!!
saturday night we dropped my a less active boy.. he let us in and we had a GREAT conversation about why he left the church. the spirit was SOO real and SOO strong. (he hasnt been to church for years) he opened up about how he has tried to gain a testimony but hasnt ever recognized the spirit. so we chatted about that. the spirit was so strong again, so in that moment, i said "matthew, will you please come to church with us tomorrow?" he looked at me for like 3 min.. then said, i'll be back. so 3 min later, he came back in the room and said YES, i'll come! WOWOWOWO i died!!!! and he actually came and had a great time!!!!! MIRACLES!
i am seriously so grateful to be here! i have been traveling this whole lower main land for the past 6 days.... beside Vancouver, this is all my area! its insane... but it is literally such a good time. the YSA are great here. our ward mission leader just got back from England and hes a fresh RM that gives his 210%. its incredible and so many people are showing me how to be. its meant to be!!!
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!!!! i already set up the house and we are ready to have a blast. President hasn't forgotten.. he even called to remind me the other day. President, i would never forget even if the days changed. alright? ya'll have a good time for me and never forget that i have a birthday every 365 days. so until the next one, we'll prep. got it? thanks for all you do!!! i really love you guys. have a fantastic week!!!!!
