uncomfortable

WELL FAMILY! what a good week i had!!! drum roll please... SISTER VAN AND I ARE STAYING!!!!!!!!! another drum roll please..... SISTER RITCHIE IS IN MY AREA! they are white washing the south area of Sidney, and i just KNEW (from the spirit of course) that she and sister johnston (the two funniest sistas around) would be here! HOW GRATEFUL I AM! Sister Van and I have work to do, and it's going to be the best transfer!!!

transfer meeting was incredible. im so sorry for all of you.. i have the best mission president and wife. and the BEST MISSION! President always gives me us the confidence we need. to start fresh, every day, just move forward. set aside your weapons of war and give it your all! i know that applies to each of us! set aside your fears, set aside your pride, and DO YOUR BEST!!! let the desires of your heart work in you!

so much has happened that i've been dying to tell you about! first off, the WEDDING! it was absolutely perfect and i was in tears! and i know you're all going to die when i say this one but..... I CAUGHT THE BOQUET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO! i told the ward that means NO ONE can get married for another 16 months ;) i think everyone was in tears. what a good laugh we had. and what a beautiful ceramony!!! next up: BAPTISM! on FRIDAY!

as we were setting up for the wedding, one of the girls in the ward, about 15 years old, told us she wants the discussions and she wants to get baptized! she lives with her grandparents, so it's kind of all getting situated, but we are shooting for October for her baptism!! what blessings eh!!

we are teaching a WONDERFUL lady named Sue. about 60 yrs old. she is so willing, so prepared, and so interested! we taught her the Restoration and she said "i believe in John Smith" we believe in JOSEPH smith too!!! haha we always meet her by the ocean, so you can only imagine my view + the spirit :) she is progressing slowly, but we love her! she brought us each necklaces the other day! isn't she sweet?

AHHH!! guess who we had a wonderful meeting with this week? Elder Johnson of the seventy! the first thing he told us as we all had our notes ready to write every word he said down.. he said "please, put your notes away. just listen. listen to the teacher, the spirit, and don't waste your time writing." my eyes were glued on this powerful man as he taught us. i learned so much. i was humbled so much!! he talked about how we all judge. we all think of people that are less active, non members, and say "oooh they're far from coming back. they dont want any part in it... they have there own religon..." FAMILY! NO! we need to stop juding people! this is the Lords work! EVERYONE IS PREPARED! if people pop into your head you TELL the missionaries! pass your judgment, and trust in the Lord!! we saw it happen this weekend as we taught members, they had 5 people to give us!! this is where my caption comes in.. you're all probably like.. why is sis ovard uncomfortable? is she struggling? HAHA no! we should all be uncomfortable! Elder johnson said our whole life should be uncomfortable! we should always be in situations where the gospel is brought up, where we can invite, where we can testify! its SO uncomfortable as a missionary sometimes, but hey, that means im doin alright eh ;) be uncomfortable! go out of your comfort zone.. DON'T JUDGE!

you all know how much i love my doodle.. i love my mission just as much. this IS the lords work. he is hastening, and i am trying to keep my pace! i'm afraid im going to be busy with this work for the rest of my life now!!! i love you all. more and more each and every day. keep being you, pray for a desire to come closer to your Savior, don't be afraid to invite people, BE UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

xoxo sis ovard
