#bumpit

HELLO! what an amazing week for you all at home!!! SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HOME AND IT IS BLOWING MY MIND! aren't we suppose to stay on our missions forever? orrrr-- is that just my dream? ok. my dream.

we're going to do bullet points this week because it was one of those crazy ones.

  • our baby girl Bibi (shes from Nigeria and we met her walking in the mall and she was wearing a crazy cool outfit so we yelled for her. turns out- she wants friends and shes super cool) we've been teaching her for about 2 weeks now and shes LOVING coming to YSA FHE and church!! we left her with a restoration pamphlet at the beginning of the week and told her to read it for our next visit. 2 days later-- we met at a members home and she had read the pamphlet and said "it was amazing! I want to know more about the Aaronic and melchizedek priesthood." hahahahaha blank stares from sister Ritchie and I... wait, bibi, you read it?? you like the priesthood? can we touch u? r u real? ..... we answered her questions and asked her if she would USE that priesthood authority and be baptized.. committed to the 14th of this month.
"Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all POWER, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend." mosiah 4:9 --- testimony of that scripture. God is powerful, and I will never comprehend the miracles he performs daily in front of my face!!

  • BRYCE-- was baptized Saturday night!! the elders taught him. my first day in PG I found him and started talking to him!! by small and simple things-- are great things brought to pass :) I love Bryce, he's come SO far and he really is a 'new creature in Christ'
  • we went on exchanges this week with our sisters that live a year away-- I got to be with our cute little greenie who has been out just a month!! shes been having a rough time so I was so pumped to be able to show her HOW FUN THIS REALLY IS and how we DONT HAVE TO BE ROBOTS :-) we were half way through the day picking up our member for a lesson and she turns to me and says "sister ovard, I have felt the spirit with you all day. this is how I want my mission to be. I know I need to be here." ...... speechless. I really had no words. the whole rest of the day I didn't have to ask her to talk to people but SHE went full force to every person she saw! it made ME have a greater desire and love for the work. I am SO grateful I get to be enriched by sisters here in this mission. I LOVE team work.
  • a member family invited us over to their daughters grad party- we said we'd be there if all her friends (aka non members) were there.. turns out there was a CROWD of them. we got them all around in a circle talking about God and it was SO LEGIT sister Ritchie and I couldn't stop smiling!!!!!!! they all thought we were awesome and the next day we saw them at the mall and they brought a ton of other friends we didn't meet to meet us! the joy of members-- having non members--- and trust.
  • Erika decided to move her baptism to the end of the month so she could tell her husband- it was a huge blessing so we are still working with her and little Olivia! we had dinner at there house this week and Olivia has been printing out scriptures from Pinterest and hanging them up in there house. SO CUTE!
  • we also attended a wedding of two investigators that the elders are teaching-- sister Ritchie and I sat in the back and definitely had the biggest smiles on our faces. they kissed and we were the ones in the back saying "AWHHHHHH"      "rings have no end, and so will your love" oh.. ok..... adorable.
  • have I told you how much I love king Benjamin lately? flip- I am starting the book of mosiah over again and every day I have had SUCH a powerful experience. I've learned to really rely on the book of Mormon. I was super fatigued the other day and literally just couldn't even keep my eyes open- I read in chapter 3 "and lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and FATIGUE, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people" I know jesus Christ, because I am reading the book of Mormon. I know that at every moment- when I read- jesus has suffered it. for me. his atonement and life lifts me up and I know that I am not alone! I AM GRATEFUL FOR JESUS, who came to save us all. hes so real. and so many indicators of what has been happening in this area show that he is here and he is hastening. so pick up your pace peeps!!!

I can't believe my time is counting down here in PG- im soaking it up. we are meeting people that are killing bears and I am pretty sure I saw a baby bear yesterday so you know- I could totally be an outdoors girl.
are you happy daddy?!?!?!

I love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!!!!!!!! you better- because we are so blessed.

xoxo, sister ovard
