what a miraculous week. i have never felt so much enthusiasm for life. sister Ritchie and i are doing incredible things together. i really enjoy being with her. we literally rejoice after every day and can't mentally process the lords mercy. last night, we blasted "Praise the Man" and we both ended up in tears. PRAISE TO THE MAN who communed with Jehovah and changed our lives forever. i will never take that man, his simple prayer, for granted. he did it for us, and we should never forget him. i have a testimony of the restored gospel, that is because of joseph smith that we have. "I knew it, and i knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it, neither dared i do it; at least i knew that by so doing i would offend God, and come under condemnation." that goes for all of us, we know God is there. we know joseph smith saw what he saw. and don't EVER deny him. if you're struggling to feel him, every decision you make, whether off your gut feeling or your intuition, it is of God. and he is real. everything is spiritual to the Lord!
tony, our Chinese friend, is getting baptized this Saturday!!! he is the best man in the world. of the two cents i can say to him, i know he knows that i love him. we had dinner at his house with his wife last night who can speak English. she is usually always working so we haven't got to meet her!!! but we finally got to be with the whole family last night and it was amazing. she shared with us how neither of them believed in god before they came to Canada 3 months ago. they've been here in PG for a month now. and Tony's whole life has changed now that he believes in God. he was preaching to his wife!!! by the end his wife, Kiko, said "i want to learn more. here is my work schedule" we're going to do all that we can to see her and strengthen her faith, which is hope, that god is real.
Ashley is our other best friend. shes so dang cute. her boyfriend is a member. about a month ago she made the effort to want to learn more. shes been doing so much research and praying about the church. she called us yesterday and said "i know why i want to join the church!!!!" we went over there that night and she had the strongest desire to serve God. and to serve the people in the ward whom she loves. what a testimony it was to me of how important it is to serve those in our ward. they are our family, and they do change peoples lives not knowingly.
we've been meeting so many wonderful people lately. its been so fun to be a minister where ever i go. whether the mall, grocery store, the streets, or on the phone. my savior is who i am trying to emulate. he gives me strength, he gives me hope, he gives me miracles to know and testify of him that he lives, i know he does. and i know he does it for each of us. i love him. he is my elder brother. im grateful for each of you, who show me that it is possible. missionary work should be embraced in our lives. that's what will change us. and THEN, we will receive the things that we need.
i have a testimony of this gospel. i wouldn't trade this time for anything in the world. i love being here! i love my companion. we never stop laughing. we never stop thinking of him, who created us. i love you guys!!!!!!!!! have an awesome week and never forget that i pray for you!
