the most memorable Christmas!‏

MAN! i feel like i just talked to you guys! OH WAIT, I DID!!!!! what an amazing Christmas! it was so fun to see the light in your eyes. the happiness that you all share as you are all together. i love you all. so very much. my doodle, he is getting too big!! i can't believe it!!! aust- thanks for saying a prayer. its been too long since I've felt that spirit you have. it made my whole week :)

this week i have learned the gift of obedience that we all get to show to our heavenly father. we don't read very far into the book of Mormon each day, and not come upon some story relating to being obedient. in 1 nephi chapter 2, we read about Lehi, who received a dream, or a vision from the Lord, where he was to take his family, leave his home, his wealth, and what was seemingly, a very good life as we know, take nearly nothing with him, and go. "And it came to pass that he was obedient unto the word of the Lord, wherefore he did as the lord commanded him." 2:3

we learn something very valuable from Lehi, and his complete obedience to follow the Lord. there is no murmuring on his part, and he just did as he was commanded to do. i hope we all just do, willingly, what the lord has commanded us to do.

obedience is the first law of heaven and as i teach others the law of obedience i feel a sense of peace, as i testify to them that if they are obedient, they will receive strength and blessings beyond our reach. i watch as Ellie is striving her very best to be obedient, and i receive another witness, that it is true. obedience will give us power to do anything. "When obedience ceases to be an irritant and becomes our quest, in that moment God will endow us with power." President Benson

Ellie and Jacob are my angels. i know that i knew them in heaven, i know that i told them i would find them. we concluded last night at dinner, that we were all best friends. and heavenly father was saving us. because he knew we'd have too much fun ;) they had us over for a FISH dinner last night, and on our plates was a little present. it was a chain bracelet that said "sister ovard" and on the inside where my skin is it says "E heart J" for Ellie and Jacob. that is the most precious gift i have received. as i gave them my gift  and my dedication to the Lord, they in return show me, that it is all worth it.

president burt called us yesterday and we were telling him the amazing miracle they are. the strength that THEY give us. and we get to learn from. he said "why don't they get baptized before the new year? they are ready. ask them. and i will be there." so, we are waiting to hear back from them. they will either be baptized on Wednesday or sunday. what a blessing. what a miracle. what a gift i have received this Christmas season that i will never forget!!!!!

i hope we can all carry this Christmas spirit throughout our year, its not over!! Christmas is every day. we celebrate our Savior, by obedience. and we love him, by our faith. thank heaven, for the atonement given to us by our loving heavenly father, when he gave us the gift of our savior, jesus Christ. we are all in such need of him. and i pray we access him every single day.

i have a testimony of these things. i know that the power of the priesthood is on the earth today. i have been studying and praying for a testimony of that, and i know that it is true. the power of the priesthood is real. and i honor every worthy, priesthood holder. im so grateful that my brothers, and dad, hold that power. and share it with me. i love this restored gospel of jesus Christ! i am SO HAPPY!

and just to add, my love for my little Asian, sister cendreda. she has changed my life. and i will never forget this pooch. she is grateful, she is happy, she is diligent, she is faithful, she is striving, she is teaching me. i am not teaching her! I LOVE YOU ALL! thank you for your smiles, that recouped my spirit and gave me strength. im sure you hear a lot from the ward, because i, in return, love them with all of my heart. so happy they take the time to talk to you all. that makes me want to burst!!!

have an incredible week!!! and i will do the same :-) muah!

xoxo, sister ovard
